About this Group
My goal with the Off the Beaten Path Group is to highlight some of the great images from stunning but lesser-known locations.
This Group accepts photo submissions of scenery from the natural and unnatural (e.g., urbex) worlds. Exceptional images may be chosen to be ‘featured.’ Photos can be manipulated in post-processing to the extent that they are still recognizable as photos; other media are not accepted at this time.
In the ‘Discussion’ tab there is a ‘Thanks for the Feature’ thread where all artists are invited to post their feature – this acts as the full archive for featured images.
Submission rules for photographers:
(1) Photographs only (post-processing treatment okay) and they must have been captured or created by you
(2) Submit up to 1 images per day
(3) Images should emphasize natural or urban scenery but may contain people, animals, vehicles, etc. only if they are an integral part of the bigger picture
(4) Images that are primarily portraits of people, animals, flowers, cars, buildings, etc. may be rejected.
(5) Nudity is accepted so long as it is tastefully done, not explicit, an integral element of the overall scene (e.g., think of a nude in the desert)
(6) Acceptance of images into the Off the Beaten Path photography group is at the discretion of the administrator
(7) No solicitations for voting in any contests
(8) Anyone who repeatedly submits images not following the rules above may be deleted as a group member
Note that I will reject snapshot-type images, images that are out of focus or alignment, and images with post-processing issues (e.g., fringing, obvious compositing).
